Tai Chi

Tai Chi from the Arthritis Foundation is a program developed by Dr. Paul Lam and other arthritis specialists to help improve strength, balance, flexibility, stamina, and fitness. The program consists of warm-up exercises, 12 fundamental Tai Chi movements and Qigong movements for energy, breathing, and relaxation. The class is concluded with cool-down exercises that leave you feeling peaceful and rejuvenated. The movements are based on the Sun style of Tai Chi which uses upright stances and is suitable for beginners and arthritis sufferers. Classes are held in six to eight week sessions with classes once or twice per week.
